So far, we have released 3 collabs, collaborations with other artists, and more will follow. Being musically creative in this way is very inspiring. The different musical input from outside stimulates new ideas, leads to new approaches, inspires creative work, and promotes versatility in the musical portfolio.
Another positive aspect of collabs is the greater reach they can achieve. As a song created in collaboration is not only published on your own channel (on Spotify, Apple etc.), but also on the channel of the artist(s) involved. This allows you to reach a new, larger audience.
Of course, when collaborating with other artists, you have to make sure that you choose your partners wisely, because only when everyone involved is happy and committed to the cause, when the musical ideas are inspiringly different but not too far apart, only then will something magical arise that brings everyone involved forward and inspires the fun of being creative.

I have been asked several times via Instagram to collaborate with other musicians or producers. Mutual support within the musician community on Instagram creates an exchange and, in the best case, even a friendship. Sometimes this results in a collaboration because you realize that you're on the same wavelength, both musically and in terms of attitude. I really enjoy and appreciate that! Every time it's enriching, and I continue to develop and learn a lot from my collab partner.
I get the beat, the music electronically. Then I work on a vocal melody and lyrics. I record the first variations with my cell phone using voice memos. Then I upload these raw first attempts to my computer and play the song via computer. At the same time, I record second and third voices using my cell phone and the Voice Memos app. This gradually creates a song with several voices. Sometimes I send a simple raw version, which has only been recorded on my cell phone, to my collab partner to hear his or her opinion. This exchange can help to develop further ideas.
Once the song is complete with all the different voices and the lyrics, it's time to record. Thomas, my band colleague from art2o, records the song professionally while I sing the different parts. He then edits these recordings, and a rough mix is created. We then send this rough mix with the different tracks (one track for each vocal) to a producer, often a collaborative partner, who mixes the song for us and does the mastering so that the song can be released later.
